Waves has introduced a new Free Plugin Pack that, as the name suggests, offers seven selected audio tools absolutely free of charge – including updates at no additional cost. The focus is on tools used in countless professional productions that you can now use in your own projects for free. Included are analog saturation, classic dynamics processors and even an FM synthesizer. Rounding out the package is an extensive collection of ready-made effect chains that can be used directly through the StudioVerse system. Very cool!
Waves Releases Free Plugin Pack with Reverb, EQ & Synth
The heart of the Free Plugin Pack is the Lil Tube plugin, which simulates analog saturation and creates a musical warmth, especially in the high frequencies. Also included is IR Live Reverb, which uses convolution technology to recreate real acoustic spaces for mixing and creative room simulation.
With the V-EQ3 equalizer and the V-Comp compressor, the bundle also includes two classic emulations of legendary British studio technology that still play an important role in today’s productions thanks to their smooth sound characteristics and direct usability. The AudioTrack Channelstrip also lets you make quick corrections and edits in a single plugin, saving valuable time on large mixing projects.
Free Plugin Pack with Studio Quality at no Cost
A highlight of the bundle is undoubtedly the GTR Solo plugin, which not only appeals to guitarists, but also delivers creative results for vocals, synths and drums with its effects section and amp simulation. Its operation is reminiscent of typical pedalboards, allowing you to create interesting sound chains with just a few clicks.
Experimenters will appreciate the Flow Motion FM synth, which combines classic frequency modulation with modern sound design for retro sounds, powerful leads, and atmospheric pads. All plugins can be integrated into the Waves StudioVerse system, which gives you access to numerous preset effect chains designed specifically for the included plugins.
Price and Availability
The complete Free Plugin Pack is available once per Waves account and can be used on one computer. According to the manufacturer, updates for this collection will remain free of charge – which is great – and makes the package especially interesting for beginners and producers on a tight budget. However, the feature set is far from stripped down, as all included plugins can be used to their full potential without any restrictions. A good move by Waves – thanks!
The plugins run on macOS 12 or higher (including Apple Silicon support) and Windows 10 or higher as AAX, VST3 and AU in 64-bit. Several presets are included.
