sE unveils sharp-dressed Billy F. Gibbons signature dynamic microphone
At NAMM 2018, Chinese mic powerhouse sE Electronics presented what has to be the most sharp-dressed microphone ever – the Billy Gibbons Signature Edition V7 BFG Dynamic Microphone.
There’s not too much to be said about the mic, really – it’s a sE V7 handheld dynamic mic, made for live use and dressed up for maximum rock & roll with its custom chrome finish and Royal Purple internal windscreen. It has a super-cardioid polar pattern and a capsule designed for isolating voice from other instruments on stage.
Like all good dynamic mics, this one handles plenty of gain before feedback and boasts a brand-new, patented shock mount which effectively de-couples the capsule from mechanical vibration and results in low handling noise. In Billy F. Gibbons’ own words: “Perfectamundo!”

Priced a reasonable USD 150 | EUR 139, the V7 BFG ships with a treasure tove of stuff – mic clip, thread adapter, leatherette pouch, microfiber polishing cloth, a sticker, a pair of BFG Signature Jim Dunlop custom gel guitar picks, and a spare black internal windscreen. Is anything at all missing?!
