Musikmesse 2018: Drawmer intros a pair of CMC monitor controllers
At Musikmesse 2018, British manufacturer Drawmer will introduce a pair of new monitor controllers: CMC3 and CMC7. The CMC3 is the compact model, while the CMC7 is designed for Surround setups. Here’s more about each product:
Drawmer CMC3
The CMC3 features two balanced 1/4-inch TRS stereo inputs and three speaker outputs alongside a controllable 3.5mm stereo AUX input and an S/PDIF digital input — all that in a compact format. Furthermore, CMC3 has a separate mono / subwoofer output and two headphone outputs. There’s a built-in talkback microphone and a 1/4-inch input for external mics, and you will also find a separate talkback monitor output. As an added bit of hands-on control, CMC3 includes reverse, mono, left/right cut, dim, and mute switches. Good stuff, all-around!
Drawmer CMC7
The CMC7 is a 5.1/7.1 Surround monitor controller with the ability to be used as a preamp. Surround inputs and speaker outputs are facilitated by 25-pin D-Sub jacks, and in addition, you will find a 6.3mm headphone output. There’s a DIM switch which reduces output power by 20dB, a Mute switch for completely muting the signal, and a stereo mix button for bouncing the surround mix to the left or right.
Price and availability information for these products isn’t available at the moment. We will update the post if we get to know more on the matter.
