The Danish band D-A-D have been seen on stage toting a bass guitar that will look very familiar to most of the world’s population. The “iPhone Bass” is quite the gimmick, but we want to know if it needs recharging halfway through…

The bass is shaped like an Apple iPhone and appears to only have two strings – E and A. Which – to be fair – is all most bass players actually need anyway. As most bass players need a gimmick to stand out amongst the band, this “iPhone bass” has more than enough stage presence to make the bass player of D-A-D noticeable on stage.
Smart Bass
The onboard camera appears to be showing the audience on screen. Who knows, maybe it can order an Uber for the band or let them play Pokemon Go once the gig is over. I’m just wondering whether it needs an Apple Lightning cable to charge up between gigs or whether they have the wireless charging version?
