Further to the arrival of the Moog One on the Sweetwater website with only one rather frustrating image, more have arrived via the Moog One Facebook group.
These are all watermarked with Sweetwater but the Moog One page on the Sweetwater site says that more images will be along on the 8th October. My suspicion is that the official release day is supposed to be the 8th but Sweetwater pulled the trigger too soon. While they are keeping further images back it seems someone else has leaked them.

I will gladly sell my soul for this. It’s about time the Memorymoog got a follow-up.
The original Memorymoog listed for $4,795 in 1982, adjusted for inflation would be $12,821 today.
Looks really good but they could have cut costs by eliminating the three individual waveform displays and having a mode where the waves are displayed on the main screen. You’d think they’d be trying to cut costs wherever possible on a synth with this price tag.
Cutting costs, opting to leave out premium features is exactly what Moog should avoid doing. For God’s sake, does every product have to have noticeable signs of compromise having been made? Can’t anything be awesome anymore? There are many high end auto manufactures who build small to medium production runs of premium vehicles and price them where they need to be for the company to remain profitable. There’s a place for that in the synth market. Sure at $6K & $8K Moog isn’t going to be selling these like hotcakes… so what? A 16-voice Moog One is more accessible to me now than a MemoryMoog, OB-Xa, Jupiter 8, CS-80, Prophet T8, or ARP Quadra was in ’83.
