Mutable Instruments is continuing its relationship with VCV Rack and has provided them with the source code of their Tides Tidal Modulator module.
Tidal Modulator 2 for VCV Rack
Tides is the most recent Mutable module being released last September. It’s all about being a digital asymmetric triangle function generator. The triangle generator is followed by a wavetable waveshaper which pushes the attack and decay into all sorts of interesting places. It has four output modes, a large palette of waveforms and loves to shape voltages.
VCV Rack is a huge and sprawling virtual Eurorack system where the only limitations are your imagination and your CPU. They set up an agreement with Mutable Instruments to offer their modules are “previews” within VCV Rack. The “Preview” plug-in costs $20 and then you can run all of the Mutable Instruments modules that have been ported so far. They include Braids, Plaits, Clouds, Warps, Rings, Frames, Links and Kinks. 80% of the proceeds go to Direct Relief Humanitarian Medical Aid – so $20 is well worth it.
