NAMM 2019: Vox Union Jack Mini Superbeetle gives the MSB25 a makeover
A new Nutube powered, Beatles-inspired mini retro amp stack
With its decidedly patriotic look, the new Union Jack Mini Superbeetle amp immediately grabs your attention. Hang on, haven’t we seen an amp with exactly the same specs before?
Vox Union Jack Mini Superbeetle
This new Albion-themed exterior hides the Vox MSB25 amp model presented at last year’s Summer NAMM: a 50-Watt head with NuTube technology, an onboard tremolo and digital reverbs. You get a 10″ Celestion speaker loaded into an open-back cabinet and a matching mini head. The head has two speaker outs at 4/8/16 ohms and a combined Headphone/Line out as well.
Red, white & blues
I think this is well suited to home use, and if you are into the Union Jack thing then this one is for you. If you want an amp with ’60s Beatles tones that offers good value for money, this should be a contender for your money. With all that retro vibe and tone it definitely has something to offer at this price point.
I can just see this being used by an Austin Powers lookalike wielding an old semi-hollow bodied guitar…
RRP – GBP 385
