NAMM 2019: Electro Harmonix Bass Mono Synth pedal gives bassists new synth sounds
Mono Synth bass tones on tap!
Electro Harmonix has just announced a new Bass Mono Synth pedal kitted out with 11 bass synth options including some inetersting vintage synth emulations.
Electro Harmonix Bass Mono Synth
Last week, EHX announced that it won a big lump sum of cash from Mooer for copying its software. So it’s good to see the New York-based pedal company continuing to release new innovative effects pedals. The new Bass Mono Synth is aimed at bass players and has 11 onboard bass synth voices to choose from.
Synth Control
The Dry, Synth, Control, Sens and Type controls let you dial in your desired sound. The Type knob lets you cycle through the 11 synth presets. The Dry and Synth knobs are used to set the mix: the former governs the overall volume of the dry signal, whilst the latter sets the main synth voice volume. The Sens control adjusts how the pedal reacts to your playing style and dynamics.
With the Control knob, you can adjust various synth parameters to taste. Or you can use an external foot pedal for real-time control over the pedal via the EXP input. Last up, you have a handy Preset footswitch that allows you to save and recall presets.
The pedal is really cheap in my opinion, given that you get 11 bass synth tones. It also includes the EHX 9.6DC-200mA power supply needed to run the pedal.
RRP – USD 123.50
