NAMM 2019: Ibanez Paul Gilbert PGM333 Signature 30th Anniversary
Paul Gilbert and Ibanez celebrate 30 years of working together
Ibanez has just officially announced the new Paul Gilbert PGM333 signature model, marking their 30th Anniversary of working together. You can go check it out this week at NAMM. Wow, just how did thirty years fly by so fast?
Ibanez Paul Gilbert PGM333
This brand new 30th Anniversary Paul Gilbert PGM333 guitar comes loaded with three DiMarzio PG-13 pickups and a Gotoh GTC101 hardtail bridge. The body wood is African mahogany, and yes, of course, it has his signature F-hole design on the front.
It has a five-piece PGM maple and walnut neck, with ebony fretboard and a reversed headstock with Gotoh MG-T locking machine heads. All the hardware is gold and makes it look very suave indeed.
Older and Wiser
Mr Gilbert is a guitar legend and so this celebratory guitar is well deserved and I think his fans will love it. He has been playing this guitar body shape since 1988 and so it must be a good one. Of course, now he is a mature responsible adult and no longer a shredder…
But seriously, he is a phenomenal musician and can play any guitar he like, but he is always seen playing Ibanez guitars and that says a lot.
Just check out the official Ibanez promo video below to hear it in action with Paul giving it a riff or two to deal with. No price just yet and zero information on the Ibanez website at the time of writing, but you can go check it out at their NAMM stand this week for sure.
RRP – TBC
