NAMM 2019: EVH Wolfgang WG Standard Xotic range
New exotic wood finishes for the EVH Wolfgang Standard
The Winter NAMM release of new Wolfies was inevitable and so this year we get some rather exotic new models including the EVH Wolfgang WG Standard Xotic and a new Standard Quilt Maple version too!
EVH Wolfgang WG Standard Xotic
Both are the standard specification we all know and love. Including a flat decked EVH branded Floyd Rose 1000 trem system and R2 nut, EVH Wolfgang Humbuckers and a basswood body. They have 22 jumbo frets and a 12″-16″ compound radius, oiled neck. More of about those in a second, as there has been a slight change there.
New Woods for 2019
What is new are baked maple necks and the use of Ziricote and Poplar Burl (called Midnight Sunset). Both finishes add a touch of maturity to the Wolfgang series and for me, in particular, I really like the plain dark brown tone of the Ziricote model.
The EVH Wolfgang WG Standard Quilt Model will now also be available in Mango Burst and Tri Fade finishes.
Both these new models and all the finishes are due out later in March this year. Could 2019 be time to go out and buy your first Floyd Rose equipped guitar? Go on, they are great fun to play!
Head on over to the EVH site below and check them all out.
