Owned by Metallica’s Kirk Hammett, KHDK Electronics has a new stompbox, the Gary Holt Paranormal EQ. It’s been built specifically for Slayer’s lead guitarist – is this a marriage of metal and tone?

Designed in cooperation with Gary Holt, the new Paranormal parametric EQ pedal has seen use on Slayer’s final tour. This new pedal has control over your guitar’s mids, frequency and bandwidth for dialling in the sweet spot on your guitar amp.

Gary commented:
When you hear what this pedal does to a stock Marshall head, you’re gonna shit your pants … This is the tone I’ve been searching for, for over 20 years.
The Paranormal is being produced in a limited run of only 250 units, so don’t take too long to decide if you want one or they will sell out. With such high praise from the Exodus/Slayer guitarist, it would probably make sense to get in early and order one soon.
