Ernie Ball Music Man Jason Richardson Artist Series 7-String Cutlass
Jason Richardson's new 7-String looks seriously enticing in its Black Burst finish
The new Ernie Ball Music Man Jason Richardson Artist Series 7-String Cutlass model looks like a guitar that can handle some serious low end and high performance playing.
Jason Richardson Artist Series 7-String Cutlass
The new Jason Richardson Artist Series 7-String Cutlass has a lightweight alder body and exclusive Buckeye Burl top, which was an important part of the design and something that Jason specified for his model. I think it looks great and that Buckeye Burl top looks really unique. Then you get a select figured roasted maple neck and an ebony fretboard loaded with 24 stainless steel frets. It also has a contoured lower horn for great upper fret access, which is a nice touch.
Black Burst 7-string
It comes fitted with a set of Custom Ernie Ball Music Man 7-string humbucking pickups, a push-push volume pot for up to 20db boost and a 3-way pick-up selector switch. It has a very stealth looking set of all black hardware and a custom laser etched artist series neck plate, which really sets off the Black Burst finish of the guitar.
You can hear it in action in the official demo video below and I think you will agree it sounds pretty sweet. Yes, it isn’t exactly cheap, but having owned plenty of Ernie Ball Music Man guitars myself in the past, I will say they are usually an impeccable build and great to play. I’ve never personally played a bad one, they’ve always been great. Taking that into account, this guitar looks well priced for all that it offers.
RRP – USD 3499
