Behringer might have leaked a Maths, Prophet 5 and Virus clone in behind-the-scenes video
In a new behind-the-scenes video from Music Tribe, creative leader for industrial design Jason takes us around the design department. And we may have spotted a few interesting things on screen for a fleeting moment. Let’s pull this video apart!
Access Virus
As Jason introduces us to their synthesizer designers, Jason and Grace, you can see on Grace’s screen something that looks a lot like a Neutron if it wasn’t for a dark area in the middle. At the end of the video we get a much better look and although it’s blurred it has a very familiar Access Virus look about it. That’s certainly no Neutron.
Maths and Prophet 5
We know that Behringer are working on some Eurorack. They’ve already put out an unremarkable Eurorack case and have talked about cloning the Roland System 100 into Eurorack form. But of course why wouldn’t they look around at some of the most popular current Eurorack modules. The screen grab below clearly shows a version 1 Maths on the right hand screen and something that looks very like it but with a slightly different layout on the left hand screen. Along with the “Baths” can we expect to see a “Bings”, a “Blouds”, a “Bisting”, a “Buring Machine” and maybe a “Bamelas New Workout?”
The potential Prophet 5 is sitting behind whatever this guy is working on. It’s too big to the be the Pro 1 and could easily be a desktop version of the classic Sequential synthesizer.
What else?
I did note the photo of the Yamaha CS-80 on the wall.
And also, further supporting my theory that the ever-youthful Uli Behringer is developing some sort of human cloning project we have this alarming poster on the wall.
Are Music Tribe cloning the Rolling Stones?
Only time will tell.
Here’s the video, decide for yourself.
