Sheryl Crow gets her own signature model
Coinciding with the release a new album by US country artist Sheryl Crow, Gibson is releasing the Sheryl Crow Country Western Supreme. This signature guitar is a reissue of the original 1962 Gibson Country Western Acoustic Guitar.

The American singer / songwriter hovers somewhere between rock, pop and country. Her greatest success came in the 1990s with songs like All I Wanna Do , If It Makes You Happy and Strong Enough To Be My Man.

And on all these songs you can hear Sheryl Crow’s ‘Money Maker’, so-called because all her commercially successful material was written on this one instrument. In the marketing video accompanying the guitar’s launch, Sheryl says she bought the original Money Maker back in 1991 and liked the narrow neck and soft sound. Apparently, it reminded her of the old records she heard in the 70s. At any rate, I really like the acoustic sound in these videos!

Country Western Supreme
The Sheryl Crow Country Western Supreme has a thermally aged Sitka spruce top with a delicious antique cherrywood finish. Plus a solid mahogany floor and sides.
The neck is also made of mahogany and the rosewood fingerboard is decorated with beautiful Mother of Pearl parallelogram inlays.

The Gibson Sheryl Crow Country Western Supreme costs 3899 Euros in Europe and should be with Gibson dealers about now. Each guitar is hand-signed by Crow and comes with a Gibson Certificate of Authenticity. It is a really nice looking guitar and if it makes you half the money it has made Crow from songwriting, then it’s a bargain!

Sweet Baby Jesus look at the price! It’s going to be a Money Maker. For Gibson, not us, sadly.
You’re not wrong fella. However, they have to sell them first and this could be a problem. As I’m not convinced a Sheryl Crow signature model has that much pull in a modern world.
