Gibson’s Mark Agnesi and Marcus King reveal new signature ES-345 guitar
Gibson has uploaded a new video to its YouTube channel in which Mark Agnesi talks to Marcus King backstage at the Eric Clapton Corssroads festival. Not a particularly newsworthy event in itself. But Messrs Agnesi and King also mention a new, previously unannounced guitar model, a Marcus King signature ES-345. The guitar Mr King is holding in the video is the prototype #1 of the new guitar. So grab yourself a cup of your favourite hot beverage and check out the video for a few particulars about an interesting recreation of a guitar from 1962.
Gibson Marcus King ES-345
So there they are, Mark Agnesi and Marcus King, chatting backstage at the Eric Clapton Crossroads festival. During the conversation, they discuss a new signature ES-345 that recreates the hardware and design of a 1962 model given to Marcus King by his grandfather, who was the instrument’s first owner. The recreation includes details like the “Custom Made” plaque behind the bridge and the sideways Vibrola.
