Strymon Iridium: A new amp/cab simulator pedal
A new Strymon Amp/Cab simulator pedal
UPDATE
Since this post was published, Strymon’s Iridium pedal has been officially announced. Head over here for a run-down of its features, pricing and more.
That new Strymon pedal is here (almost)! An image has been doing the rounds online depicting a new effect called Iridium, and it looks to be an amp/cab simulator pedal.
I let it slip that a new Strymon pedal was due out anytime soon and now pictures have surfaced online via Reddit of a new Strymon Iridium Amp/Cab Simulator pedal online.
We will update you when we know more official information. Currently the official Strymon website just has a blurred out image of the Iridium and the phrase ‘Coming Soon’.
For now you, if we use the image from Reddit, we can see it has controls for Bass, Middle, Treble and Room, plus two footswitches, but that is about it. You can also see the mention of IR in the title, so we know it should be able to handle Impulse Responses at least.

I think it’s a safe bet to assume that says “Room,” not “Boom” considering we’re talking about IR here.
That definitely says “Room” not “Boom”
