Sknote announces the AnyTesla audio transformer modelling plug-in

Sknote has announced AnyTesla, a plug-in which models the behaviour of audio input and output transformers. If you mix “in the box”, AnyTesla could be a great way to add a bit of analogue warmth and saturation to your tracks. The plug-in will be released on November 18, 2019.

According to Sknote, AnyTesla contains a parametric physical model of audio transformers. They’ve also added an optional power output stage, stating that the saturation of a core affects both the input and output coils. AnyTesla is designed to impart the sound of transformers to your tracks. Sknote says that it contributes bass enhancement and harmonic distortion, among other desired effects.
We don’t know much about how the plug-in operates yet, much less how it sounds, but the simple and clean GUI has controls for band, stress, shape and Z-drop. There are also two VU meters for the input levels. Sknote says that AnyTesla features true auto-gain, which makes it easy to perform A/B comparisons. The plug-in also has a sample-aligned dry/wet control, as well as a mid/side control. It features Sknote’s new vectorial interface for seamless resizing.
Price and compatibility
According to Sknote, AnyTesla will be released on November 18, 2019. The price hasn’t been announced yet, but the company says that there will be a Black Friday offer. The plug-in runs on Windows and macOS in VST, AU and AAX formats (32 / 64 bit). There will also be an AAX-DSP version for Avid HDX and Venue systems.
