Fender Silent Siren Jazz Bass and Telecaster: Female J-pop band gets new signature models
Fender has launched the first of its 2020 signature guitars to be made in cooperation with female artists. The two new models are linked to J-pop band Silent Siren and are part of Fender’s drive to increase its number of signature instruments associated with female musicians. Which wouldn’t be hard, let’s face it.

According to the Twitter feed of Fender Japan, Silent Siren are to the featured artists on two new signature models, both slated for release in 2020. The female pop-rock duo have spec’d an eye-catching Telecaster and a Jazz Bass model.
Telecaster and Jazz bass
Lead vocalist and guitarist Sumire Yoshida has plumped for a dazzling Telecaster with an all-white finish that goes right across the fretboard and headstock. It even comes with a painted-on F-hole. There’s a humbucker is in the bridge position and a single-coil at the neck, a rare pickup layout for Fender. It could sound pretty sweet.
Bassist Aina Yamauchi has opted for Fender American Standard Jazz bass with a fetching MIJ competition stripe and a Seafoam Green finish.
Currently, there is no real official information on either guitar, but if your Japanese is any good, you can read the official Fender Twitter post below. I reckon that we may get some official details on both new signature models sometime around Winter NAMM 2020.
