Old Blood Noise Endeavors Minim: Reverse, Reverb and Delay effects in one pedal
The Rêver pedal goes into serial production as the Minim
Which boutique pedal making company makes the most entertaining demo videos? Hands down, it’s Old Blood Noise Endeavors. Their latest film advertises Minim, a new pedal that combines Reverse, Reverbs and Delay.
Minim or Rêver?
The new Old Blood Noise Endeavors Minim based on Rêver, which was designed in conjunction with Datacoir. Rêver has been available twice in the past, but only in limited editions runs of the unit. The Minim is the first version of that pedal to go into serial production.
Reverse, Reverb + Delay
This pedal is an attempt to reinterpret the reverb effect, with a kind of ‘overtone tremolo’. But the pedal can do a lot more. A modulated delay of up to 400 ms and almost infinite repetitions is also included. In addition, there’s a reverse section, which can be set to normal speed or double speed.
Routing & Controls
The small nondescript ‘Order’ switch determines the placement of the reverse block. This can be placed either before or after the Reverb + Delay section. The reverb sounds nice and soft in the demo videos. It offers settings for mix, modulation and decay. The reverb is always fed to the delay, which always has some slight modulation on it in the form of a chorus effect.
