Afterneath has been making weird reverb sounds as a guitar pedal for some time but now it’s found itself in Eurorack with an expanded feature set for added strangeness.

Audio goes in and out, there’s a send and return for the Reflect feedback path and 8 knobs to play with. The most interesting knobs also get CV control with dedicated attenuverters. Reverb happens somewhere in the middle of it all.
Along the top, you have Input level control that adjusts between guitar and modular levels which is very handy; Dampen controls the tone of the wet signal; Reflect controls the regeneration of the reverb from subtle to self-oscillation, and Mix is the wet/dry mix.

The more interesting stuff is in the second, CV controllable row: Drag is reverb heart of Afterneath and is made from a bunch of short delays. It creates a moving fog of sound that moves to a stuttering, pingy effect as you increase the time from reverb to separate delay lines. It’s cool and warpy and self-oscillating. Mode switches between the 9 different modes of Drag. Diffuse smooths and diffuses the delay repeats while Length controls the decay.
The Reflect feedback path can be sent out to other effects. This is a separate path to the internal one and lets you mix in other effects if you wish.
