NAMM 2020: Hydrasynth 1.3 firmware update brings MPE and “Warm” mode
It’s not been out long but the Hydrasynth from Ashun Sound Machines is already getting a healthy 1.3 firmware update which includes MPE compatibility and the musically pleasing Warm mode.

MPE is that MIDI Polyphony Expression thing where you can do pitch bend and modulation per note on a polyphonic instrument. It’s what all the cool cats do on ROLI keyboards and other spongy expressive controllers.
The next cool new thing is Warm Mode. This introduces a shaping to the sound that better emulates the tonal qualities of vintage synthesizers. It rounds out the high end and gives a gentle boost to the bottom to give an overall warmth.
There’s also a new patch bank to download which takes advantage of these new features along with a patch manager.
