NAMM 2020: Charvel announce Pro-Mod DK22 and DK24 models
Charvel brings two new Pro-Mod DK22 and DK24 models to the table this year. The high-end, super-fast spec’d models will be available with a non-locking trem model and three pickups.
Charvel Pro-Mod DK22 SSS 2PT CM
The new Charvel Pro-Mod DK22SSS 2PT CM has a sculpted heel joint and scalloped lower back bout which makes for comfortable, easy upper fret access. The Dinky-style body is made out of alder.
The bolt-on caramelised maple neck is graphite-reinforced, making it rock solid. It has a 12”-16” compound radius fretboard with 22 nice big Jumbo frets . The neck also comes with a hand-rubbed satin urethane finish on the back and Luminlay side dots, making it ideal for dark stages.
Non-locking bridge
The heel-mount truss rod adjustment wheel makes it super easy to tweak the neck relief, while the Graph Tech TUSQ XL nut helps with tuning stability and aids the non-locking Gotoh Custom 510 tremolo stay in tune.

Seymour Duncan
The Charvel Pro-Mod DK22 SSS 2PT CM comes loaded with a Seymour Duncan Custom Hot Rails Strat SHR-1B humbucking bridge pickup, direct mounted Seymour Duncan Custom Flat Strat SSL-6 single-coil middle pickup, and a direct mounted Seymour Duncan Custom Flat Strat SSL-6 RWRP single-coil in the neck position. They are wired via a five-way blade switch to a 500K EVH Bourns low friction potentiometer for the volume control and no-load tone controls.
Available in Electric Blue, Gloss Black and Pharaohs Gold finishes.

Charvel Pro-Mod DK24 HSS 2PT CM ASH
Essentially the same guitar, the DK24 HSS 2PT CM ASH is a 24 fret version with an ash body and a full-sized bridge humbucker. Featuring a classic HSS pickup layout, it comes equipped with a Seymour Duncan Custom Full Shred SH-10B humcucker bridge pickup, a Seymour Duncan Custom Flat Strat SSL-6 single-coil middle pickup and a Seymour Duncan Custom Flat Strat SSL-6 RWRP single-coil in the neck position.
It only comes in a Satin Red Ash finish, but it looks great!
