Fender Blonde Player Tele with Custom Shop ’51 Nocaster pickups
Fender is to release a Mexican-made Player Tele as a limited edition run! This Butterscotch Blonde model will come factory fitted with a set of Custom Shop ’51 Nocaster pickups. Noice.
Custom Shop ’51 Nocaster
This is a great set of pickups, especially for a mid-range instrument like the Player Tele. This is a slightly more modern take on the Telecaster design, but with a classic ’50s Butterscotch finish and a set of Custom Shop ’51 Nocaster pickups.
Alnico 3
With a more up-to-date six-saddle bridge, Modern C profile neck and poly finish, the model isn’t exactly built to vintage specifications. But a decent set of US-made pickups from Fender’s Custom Shop should make it sing. There’s also a flush mounted set of Alnico 3 magnets, enamel coated magnet wire and a zinc shielding plate. Expect a more vintage ’50s voicing for this guitar.
Fender Blonde Player Tele
If you are looking for an instrument with a modern flavour, but with a traditional Telecaster twang then this could be the Tele you seek. Especially if you are on a budget and don’t fancy gigging with your Custom Shop instrument. This Fender Blonde Player Tele limited edition could be a good bet for many guitarists because of its decent price point and premium pickups.
The price and availability has yet to be officially announced, so be sure to check your local authorised Fender dealer for more details.
