Apple Logic Pro X and Final Cut Pro X go on 90-day free trials
In line with developers like AVID and Cockos Apple is throwing creators stuck at home a little bone. Both Logic Pro X and Final Cut Pro X get unlimited 90-day trials. In other words, that’s three months of free use on Apple’s tab.
Of course, Final Cut did have a 30-day free trial, but Logic Pro X never did. So if you are looking into trying out Apple’s audio and video editing software without paying or pirating, I believe having three months to do that is as good as it gets. Besides, if you find yourself bored out of watching reruns or you’re the kind of enterprising individual who’s enthusiastic about picking up new skills, grabbing these trials and going to town would be an excellent choice! Chances are you’ll get hooked immediately.
Supreme logic
Logic Pro X, in particular, includes pretty much everything needed to produce a track start-to-finish. The integrated synths have aged remarkably well, and then there’s the beast of a synthesizer that is Alchemy. Together with a ton of Apple Loops, a built-in drummer, decent instrument samples and plenty of high quality effects, Logic Pro can get you going in no time. I am more of an Ableton guy these days, but when it comes down to recording and editing instruments the old-fashioned way, I’m calling Logic. Besides, synths like Sculpture, ES2, and Ultrabeat are still a ton of fun to program after you get comfortable with their loveably obscure interfaces. As for Final Cut Pro X, I find it the perfect prosumer video editor by far.

The Final Cut Pro X trial is already live in the Mac app store. Logic Pro X will be available soon, we’re told.
