According to Sennheiser, both in-ear monitors deliver a transparent and natural high-resolution sound. The IE 400 Pro is optimized for a punchy sound even in loud environments, while the IE 500 Pro is designed to provide a detailed, studio-quality sound on stage. Both feature 7 mm wideband transducers. The IE 400 Pro offers a frequency range of 6 – 19,000 Hz, while the IE 500 Pro reaches 6 – 20,000 Hz. Sennheiser states an impedance of 16 Ohms and a TDH of less than 0.08%.
The earphones come with a variety of silicone and memory foam sleeves to adjust the fit to your ears. With a weight of just 18 grams, they can be worn over extended periods. According to Sennheiser, the cable ducting has been designed for durability with a deep-set connector. Both sets also include a transport case, cleaning tool and 1/4″ adapter. For both earphones, you can choose from two colours: smoky black and clear.
