Superbooth 2020: The Dust Collector analog FX box is out for pre-order
At long last, the Dust Collector analog multi FX unit from last year’s Superbooth is a reality and up for pre-order. For EUR 480 a piece and with only 100 units in production at launch, I believe the initial batch will dry out quickly. Better act fast if you can!
The Dust Collector
The first of Finegear’s Arkive_Effects_ series, Dust Collector brings back the 80’s tape saturation, spring reverb, delay and phaser effects – in addition to a pair of CV-controlled LFOs for modulation. The unit is designed to encourage experimentation and is fully analog. For example, there are actual springs for the CV-controlled spring reverb. The tape saturator is a circuit emulation with moddable diode configuration. The delay sounds “dirty and raunchy” and also has an infinite feedback switch for all-out madness. Finally, the optical phaser is based on a 70’s classic and features a CV input as well as an ambient light.
The spring reverb has a removable cover so that you can interact with (abuse) the springs directly for new sounds. Same goes for the phaser which can be modulated by custom light sources. The delay has an Insert jack so that you can effect the echoed sound before feeding it backinto the delay. And what else is there? Plenty! Better check out the videos for a video is worth a thousand pictures and one picture is worth a thousand words…
Price and availability
EUR 480. Pre-order. Shipments are scheduled for July 2020. Thankfully, the user manual is available for reading while you sit in a “Zhdun” pose and wait…

This is a nice sounding unit… I especially liked the Phaser, but all of it sounds great.
