TC-Helicon: new Go Solo & Go Twin compact audio interfaces
TC-Helicon announced a pair of compact audio interfaces in the style of popular products by competing brands like IK Multimedia and Audient’s EVO line. The Go Solo is a single-channel interface and the Go Solo is a twin-channel model.
TC-Helicon Go Solo & Go Twin
Both interfaces feature combo XLR connectors with Midas-designed mic pres, line and Hi-Z instrument inputs. They can be bus-powered or used with 2 AA batteries and/or an optional DC power supply. They are also class-compliant with PC, Mac, Android and iOS devices for desktop and mobile recording. Interestingly, both interfaces – even the tiny Go Solo – have MIDI I/O jacks. The interfaces come with all required cables, including MIDI cables.
However, the Go Solo only has a single headphone output for monitoring while the Go Twin adds dual 1/4-inch TRS outputs for connecting to studio monitors and other equipment.

3-year warranty aside, both interfaces ship with a suite of TC-Helicon apps for iOS. These include Guitar Rack, Go Studio FX and Go Record. The Voice Jam looper and voice processor can be picked up for USD 10 to complete the package.

I recently purchased this interface and while I like it, I’m not too keen on the fact that it uses a proprietary USB cable. I wanted to use a shorter cable to clear up clutter, and of the six I own, NONE work! If anyone has any information on this , please share. Don’t loose/break your cable!
