Bad Comrade V3: Eurorack glitch, delay and chaotic distortion module
In only 4HP the Bad Comrade V3 from Recovery Effects will bring some disaster to your bleeps and bloops with scrambled gate delays, frozen blips and deep distortion.
Bad Comrade V3
It destroys your nice clean signals and takes you down a different path to somewhere unexpected. Forget your late-night self-indulgent ambient musings and embrace an unnecessary amount of distress and glitchiness – this is Bad Comrade.
The idea is simple enough. Plugin your sound, turn up the glitch and delay time and destroy your sound. You have a Mix knob to do a bit of blending so you don’t have to fully commit all the way to – you can have just a little bit of disaster, just a taste of glitch if you prefer.
It’s capable of glitching, fuzzing, feedbacking, overloading and everything in between. It’s not elegant or precise, it’s a machine for messing with and fiddling while enjoying the results. The Freeze button is quite interesting in that it generates all sorts of glitching and square tones without anything plugged in. Otherwise, it will grab hold of a small section in the buffer and throw it around in a chaotic way.
It’s fabulous. Check out DivKids video on it below.
The Bad Comrade V3 is $99.
