Wooden legs for my Arturia KeyLab 88 MkII MIDI Controller? Yes please!
The Arturia KeyLab 88 MkII is a chunky beast of a controller with a fat weighted keyboard and acres of control but it’s always lacked something to stand on – until now! Here are some stylish wooden legs that are just the job.
Wooden Legs
I do tend to find keyboard stands incredibly annoying. They always end up taking up more room than the thing it’s trying to offer a space for and it’s terribly easy to become entangled in them. Stands tend to be black and industrial and rarely lend anything more than functionality to your creative space. Arturia thought to themselves that they are not having that! When it comes to their flagship KeyLab controller there has to be a better way to keep it off the floor that makes for a more Instagramable moment. Wooden Legs – genius!
The legs are very beautiful and completely succeed at making the KeyLab look like some kind of vintage keyboard. They are completely lovely. They screw into the bottom of the KeyLab’s frame, very easy to install and are at just the right jaunty angle to give off an air of elegance and sturdiness.
Two of the legs have braces to ensure that your keyboard pounding is not going to result in some flat feet. The other two have adjustable ends for getting around those tricky uneven floors. The achievable height is 66.5cm with 1 whole centimetre of adjustment.
I think these are fabulous. I approve of any stand that doesn’t put a load of metal in the way of your legs. They are certainly stylish enough to turn the KeyLab 88 MkII into a piece of living room furniture. At €199 they are a premium choice for a high-end MIDI controller.
