Tom Morello has teamed up with Dunlop for a limited-edition wah pedal. The Tom Morello Cry Baby Wah comes in a bright red colour with a red star on top and quotes by the guitarist emblazoned on either side. If you were looking for a wah to smash Facist propaganda with, this is it!

With literally identical pedal specifications to that of the standard Cry Baby GCB95, the Tom Morello Cry Baby Wah might be a bit of hard sell for some. However, if you’re a fan of Mr Morello and his amazing back catalogue of music, I’m sure you can justify the need for one.

Aggressive Wah
The pedal uses the tried and tested Hot Potz Potentiometer, and therefore should be able to withstand some serious touring action. Since it is based on the GCB95 that Morello used throughout his career, it goes without saying that the pedal will get you that modern day aggressive wah tone he is known for. The Dunlop Cry Baby is a good, solid, no-fuss wah, and Morello has used his to good effect, pushing the boundaries of conventional guitar playing.
Raging Red
Sometimes History Needs A Push and You Don’t Need A Weapon When You Were Born One are emblazoned on each side, along with a red star on the top treadle rubber plate. It ain’t subtle, but it certainly gets the point across. And it’s very Tom Morello.
The amount of Rage Against The Machine and Audioslave tracks that use wah is huge, and I can certainly see fans of the bands and Tom’s solo career wanting to pick one of these up. And let’s face it, the Cry Baby is a great modern wah circuit, so its a win-win situation for everyone.
