Strymon NightSky leaked and yes, it is a reverb pedal
So it looks like blue does equal reverb!
The new teaser campaign for the Strymon NightSky pedal has been rolling along for a few days now, and it looks like it has already been leaked online by a dealer. At least now we know what it looks like.
Strymon NightSky leak
The online leak happened this evening and so now we know exactly what the new Strymon NightSky looks like and we can see the controls. It also appears to be listing for EUR 489 on the dealer’s site that has’ accidentally’ leaked the product too early.
This European dealer hasn’t uploaded any details, but you can clearly see the controls of the reverb. These include Voice with Intervals and Shimmer/Drive, a Filter section with High Cut and Mix with Reverb and Dry controls.
It also has Right and Left Inputs and Outputs, plus an Inst/Line Level input selector on the rear panel.
But what will it sound like?
We will have to wait until the official launch to hear it in action, but these pictures certainly make it look like it is feature packed. Which is what we all expected anyway, so hopefully it sounds out of this world too, as the heavy space themed teasing has set a high expectation of this unit from fans of the brand.
Does it sequence?
It has three footswitches labelled On/Sequence Step/Hold (Morph), Favourite (Sequence Tap) and Infinite/Hold (Sequence) and so we can assume it has an inbuilt sequencer. Plus, there are also eight light up buttons on the front above the foot switches, which possibly let you choose your presets.
Looks like we will have to wait a few more hours to hear it in action and see exactly what it is capable of.
