Soundforce SFC-60 V3: Hardware controller for software Juno-60 emulations
Specifically designed for the TAL-U-No-LX Juno-60 emulation the new and improved SFC-60 gives you dedicated hardware control over software sounds.
SFC-60 V3
The original SFC-60 was the first hardware controller from Soundforce back in 2014. The version 3 edition has been reworked in a solid metal case with a colourful front panel and has a deeper level of integration with the awkwardly named TAL-U-No-LX. It is also a MIDI controller and if fully mappable to any synth and would also work brilliantly with any other Juno-60 software instrument.
Soundforce has been working with Patrick from TAL Software to implement some special features and integration to enhance the illusion of working with hardware. For instance the LED-based physical switches can update their states when switching presets or switching instances with a little bit of DAW jiggerypokery. The sliders have scaling takeover modes to avoid “jumping” parameters for a smoother experience.
The case is made of bent steel and powder coated in black. The front panel is aluminium with scratch-proof inks and the walnut sides are 8mm thick.
All the controllers Soundforce make open up software to the discovery and adventure of dedicated hardware controls. Any MIDI controller can approximate this kind of control but it’s not the same as having a properly laid out interface with curated controls and the opportunity to take your eyes of the screen and work more intuitively with your fingers.
The SFC-60 V3 is available now for €349 in Europe and US pricing should be along soon.
