ESP LTD Arctic Metal Series: Get ready for a blizzard of riffs!
Get ready for a blizzard of riffs!
ESP has just announced a new offering for 2021: the new Arctic Metal Series. These five new single-pickup models are the polar (!) opposite to ESP’s 2018 LTD Black Metal Series, kept completely in ice-cold Snow White. Get ready for an iceberg-sized portion of riffage!
ESP LTD Arctic Metal Series
This new Arctic Metal Series from ESP consists of five models, the Arrow-NT Arctic Metal, EC Arctic Metal, M-HT Arctic Metal, M-7BHT Arctic Metal and the Phoenix Arctic Metal. All have a single EMG 81TW pickup controlled by a single volume control with a push-pull coil split, putting a couple of different tones at your disposal.
Stripped Back
Each guitar will be available in the new Snow White Satin finish, paired with black hardware. These are optimised for high gain fun with stainless steel frets and a nice Macassar ebony fingerboard with no inlays. You do get a set of helpful glow-in-the-dark side fret markers, though, so you won’t get lost in your blizzard of riffs on a dark stage.
Cold Comfort
ESP have designed the series with the pointy headstock and modern body shapes throughout. Alongside the LP and ST models are a 7-string, Phoenix and obligatory Flying V-style edition. It’s clear from the off that these are all aimed at metal and hard rock players. As they are all ESP LTD models, I suspect they will be very well made. I own an ESP LTD Phoenix from a few years ago and it is a superb guitar. If these are up to that standard, there will be much to commend. As yet there are no official prices for these models.
RRP – TBC

Wow, that Arctic Phoenix is very tasteful! Cool guitar
Wish they had some type of fretboard inlays, but I’ll still take one of the horizon six strings.
I recently preordered the m-ht arctic metal do you know about when I could be expecting it to be shipped out to me?
