NAMM 2021: Ibanez unleashes its 2021 roster with incredible finishes and specs
Ibanez goes all out, check out these new releases for NAMM 2021
A highlight of every NAMM show is the announcement from Ibanez about its new models for the year – and in 2021 the Japanese maker did not disappoint. Even though this year’s show is virtual, Ibanez has gone to town, with a slew of new models on offer with some incredible finishes and top-of-the-line specs. Here are our favourites from the new line-up.
Ibanez NAMM 2021 releases
With new RG models, the arch-topped, solid-bodied RGA and the extra-contoured RGD series models – along with new finishes and some very fine looking Axiom Label models on offer – Ibanez has really made an effort this year. Even by Ibanez standards this is a big deal, with a shedload of new models. Of these I’ve picked five models I think stand out from the list – check out the core specs below.

Axion Label RG631ALF in Blue Chameleon
This new Axion Label RG631ALF in Blue Chameleon brings the classic RG model kicking and screaming into the modern world.

A beautiful modern guitar, I think, with some great hardware choices: the new RGD61ALA Axion Label in Midnight Tropical Rainforest is one of my personal favourites of the new releases from Ibanez this year.

Ibanez is dreadfully failing in producing the cool, bright, neon colors that put them on the map. There is still a big market for them and they are ignoring it. Other companies are eating their lunch on them. I think I’m going with Jackson next because they are producing those great colors. Get with it Ibanez and stop the overkill in woodgrains and quilt tops!
