NAMM 2021: Carmen Vandenberg has a new Blackstar CV30 signature combo
The Bones UK and Jeff Beck guitarist gets a new limited edition signature combo
Boss just announced a new signature model for Bones UK and Jeff Beck guitarist Carmen Vandenberg. The CV30 is a two channel 30-Watt combo, and should be able to cover clean to drive tones nicely.
Blackstar Carmen Vandenberg CV30
Carmen Vandenberg has a new 30-Watt combo out with Blackstar called the CV30. The amp is based around a set of ECC83 preamp tubes, with a pair of 6L6 tubes in the output section, and packs a single 1 x 12″ Celestion Seventy-80 speaker. A two-way footswitch is included in the price.
American to British
This two channel combo comes with four voices: American Clean, British Clean, Classic Overdrive and Modern Overdrive, which, I would imagine, should be enough tonal options for most players. Plus, 30-Watts is plenty of useable power for a combo if you want to gig with it.
Twin Channel
Channel 1 has controls for Volume and Tone, whereas Channel Two has Gain, Bass, Middle, Treble and ISF controls. Blackstar’s Infinite Shape Feature gets you from an American sounding voicing through to a more British voice, with the option to blend the two. There’s an onboard reverb too.
Limited Run
Unfortunately, there are only going to be 130 amps available worldwide, which is a shame as they look pretty decent and very gig-able. Each amp will come with a hand-signed certificate by Carmen.
RRP – $999
