Kalimba Eurorack Set
Something unexpectedly beautiful from Error Instruments. They want to caress and warm your heart with organic tones rather than rip your head off like they normally do. This is a real-life kalimba, hand made in Amsterdam and is an enjoyable instrument all by itself. With a little bit of Error Instruments magic they’ve integrated a pickup and matched it with their Megaphone instrument amplifier module. Now you can have those tones flowing through your Eurorack.
Run it through some nice deep reverbs and spin it out on journeys of delay and modulation and you have a brilliantly interactive instrument.
You can use the Megaphone for guitar effects or other instruments so it’s a useful module by itself as well. But this is a lovely combination of things that would be a fascinatingly human addition to an electronic music setup.
The fact that the jack output is on the bottom feels a little inconvenient but Error Instruments are always operating on a different plane of existence.
