Herb and Stones announce Gentle Wham: 6 voice analog drum module
From the makers of Liquid Foam comes the first details about their analog Gentle Wham drum synthesizer module which you can play, trigger or drone. Sounds like fun!
Gentle Wham
All we have to go on so far is this multi-image Instagram post. We know it has 6 channels and that the sounds are all-analog. There are knobs labelled Pitch, Drive, and intriguingly Thirst. There’s a Hi to Low pass filter and a separate cutoff and resonance control.
They say it can be triggered by everything so presumably along with the trigger inputs there’s probably a MIDI port. Each channel also has a manual trigger and a light.
It’s built very much in the aesthetic of the Liquid Foam and they say it’s a drumming companion to their quirky monophonic groovebox. The sound demos in the post give it a wide range of tones and possibilities.
This is really exciting! Can’t wait to hear more about the Gentle Wham.
