Sonnox deals at Thomann: heavy discounts on Native and HDX plug-ins and bundles
The time has come for Sonnox’s massive yearly summer sale. Between June 1 and July 7, the developer is pulling huge discounts on its Native and Pro Tools (HD/HDX) plug-ins and bundles. Our affiliate partner and authorised Sonnox reseller Thomann is slashing prices accordingly.
Sonnox summer sale – native and HDX bundles and plug-ins
In short, Native plug-in bundles are sold at discounts reaching 65%. The Elite Pack Native bundle is half-price, dropped to EUR 439 from EUR 888.
Individual Oxford plug-ins (Native and Pro Tools HDX) are discounted up to a whopping 72 percent. You can stock up on high quality EQ, dynamics, reverb and noise suppression plug-ins. Additionally, the Elite Pack HD-HDX bundle for Pro Tools is sold at half-price (EUR 699, down from EUR 1438).
Misc Sonnox plug-ins and software like the Fraunhofer MP3 codec, the Restore bundle (Oxford DeNoiser, DeBuzzer, DeClicker), and the Vox Doubler plug-in have big discounts as well.
Authorization and requirements
Before purchasing, note that an iLok 2 or 3 USB dongle is required for authorising the Sonnox Fraunhofer ProCodec, Oxford DeBuzzer, DeClicker and DeNoiser plug-ins. Other than that, a free iLok Cloud account can authorise all other plug-ins. An internet connection is needed (obviously). Trial versions for most plug-ins are available from the Sonnox website. As for system requirements, a computer running macOS 10.7 or later / Windows 7 or later is good.
Background
A bit of backstory: Sonnox’s Oxford-series plug-Ins are used in mixing for music production, live sound, broadcast, TV & Film, scientific and forensics projects. The Oxford EQ and Dynamics plug-ins, in particular, trace their heritage back to the Oxford OXF-R3 digital mixing console. Behind its design are ex-SSL personnel, including a group of five audio professionals which started Sonnox (then Sony Oxford) in 1988. The Sonnox plug-ins are the kind of big-shot stuff that’s available to the general public because it’s good business. As an indicator of quality, look around the Sonnox website. Note how little marketing spiel is going on around these plug-ins – if you know about them, you darn well know about them!

I think it’s obvious from the spate of recent deals on plugins at Thomann that they are trying to corner this market as well as the physical gear market now. Personally, I think this would be very unhealthy for the future of plugin manufacturers and won’t be buying any from them as a result…
