MPE capability is on the rise, with Drift, Analog, Collision, Electric, and Tension all adding this control feature. With MPE or MIDI Polyphonic Expression, you to can program multiple parameters per note rather than being limited to MIDI CC per channel.

With Drift, you get a versatile virtual analogue synth plug-in inspired by classic hardware design. Create animated pads and leads, throbbing basslines as well as drums and percussion.

Whether you’re an experienced sound designer or a complete noob, the interface is intuitive and familiar enough to dive into sound creation mode right away.

Apart from the added MPE-capable instruments, the control device itself has expanded features with an updated UI and increased CPU efficient performance.

Ableton has also improved Live’s Warp engine, and Note Echo also supports MPE, giving users new creative outlet with time-based modulation capabilities. Meanwhile, the Core Library has also been updated with new content.

Whole version upgrades are usually paid for. It’s incremental ones, like going from 11.2 to 11.3 that are free.
