AIAIAI TMA-2 Studio XE: silly brand name, robust headphones
A Danish audio firm with the tuneful name of AIAIAI has a new pair of studio headphones – the TMA-2 Studio XE. This is a budget variant of its flagship studio headphones – the TMA-2 Studio. The latter was not in stock for some time, but it’s back for sale. That makes two good news!
AIAIAI TMA-2 Studio XE
The TMA-2 Modular Studio XE uses a high-end speaker unit and specially made bio-cellulose membrane which is lighter, but stiffer and stronger than conventional PET membranes. The headphones supposedly deliver clear, detailed sound representation. These are the main qualities you’d seek from studio headphones when it comes to sound. As comfort is no less important, the over-ear PU ear pads ensure a high level of insulation and the nylon headband provides a light wear. A spiral cable with angled plug and a carrying case round out the scope of delivery. Additionally, the modular concept makes it easy to exchange individual components and make repairs. You can literally build and order your own TMA-2 model from AIAIAI, choosing among different components with their characteristics and prices. It’s a cool little bit of forward thinking!
