Algoriddim Neural Mix Pro 2: Is it the best stem preparation software?
The new version of Algoriddim Neural Mix Pro 2 incorporates the latest Neural Mix algorithm plus Fluid Beatgrid for instant tempo calculation.
Algoriddim Neural Mix Pro 2
DJ software company Algoriddim recently updated its flagship Djay Pro software to version five. Included in that update were a number of technological innovations, ones that the company has now migrated over to its stem preparation application, Neural Mix Pro. Algoriddim Neural Mix Pro 2 includes those upgrades, making it a very intriguing stem prep app for those who don’t have or need full DJ software.
What Is Algoriddim Neural Mix Pro 2?
Neural Mix Pro 2 is, essentially, the stem separation algorithm from Djay Pro broken out into its own piece of software. Load in a track and the application will break the song into its constituent parts: vocals; harmonic content like guitars; bass and drums. It does this practically instantly, as I found out when I downloaded a trial version.
The other main component in Neural Mix Pro 2 is what the company calls Fluid Beatgrid. “Fluid Beatgrid is the world’s most sophisticated beat-matching engine enabling effortless transitions across diverse musical genres and tempos,” according to the Algoriddim site. What this means in non-marketing speak is the algorithm analyzes a song and conforms the track to the overall tempo – even when the song was originally played live.
This becomes important when you start exporting loops, something else that the software can do. It will create loops that hold tempo, useful when breaking out parts of songs for remixing. It can do this with stereo tracks or separated stems. Although the export function is currently limited to loops, Digital DJ Tips reported that Algoriddim is working on adding Fluid Beatgrid full track export.
Who Is Algoriddim Neural Mix Pro 2 For?
Neural Mix Pro 2 is chiefly aimed at DJs, as you might imagine. But when you consider how much else the program can do – such as changing tempo and key of tracks and stems – remix applications for producers become very apparent. Algoriddim also suggests that musicians can use it to create karaoke backing tracks for practice.
Algoriddim Neural Mix Pro 2 Price and Availability
