Apple launches M2-powered MacBook Air and 13-inch MacBook Pro
After nearly an hour of sleep-inducing iOS and Watch OS features, Apple announced the new M2 chip at WWDC 2022. Alongside the newly redesigned MacBook Air, the new 13-inch MacBook Pro is also M2-powered.

Offering users an 18% performance increase, the M2 also allows up to 24 GB of unified memory. This makes the new MacBook Air even more capable as a lightweight taskmaster. MagSafe charging returns as a standard, but you now also have fast charge with an optional 67W USB-C power adapter.
You’ll also be thrilled to find that the mini-jack output is back with support for high-impedance headphones. Overall, it’s all you could want in an ultra-slimline workstation.

For a pro experience with a more compact form factor, the 13-inch MacBook Pro with M2 chip is the perfect in-betweener. Starting with a 10-core GPU, it also only charges via USB-C. The MBP has a touch bar and also gives you a slightly longer battery life than the air.
The other obvious difference between the two is the screen. While the Air is equipped with its new 13.6-inch liquid retina display, the MBP has a 13.3-inch retina.
macOS Ventura
Several new productivity features aim to even more closely integrate the experience of macOS Ventura with the new iOS and iPadOS 16. The one feature that stood out for content creators is Continuity Camera with its Desk View function.
The ability to harness your iPhone’s powerful cameras wirelessly provides new possibilities without the need for additional hardware, which is great.
Pricing and availability:
The new MacBook Air with M2 chip will be available from Apple next month, starting at $1199, while the new 13-inch MacBook Pro with M2 chip starts at $1299.
macOS Ventura is currently available to developers, while the first public beta edition will be launched next month.

M2-equipped Mac Mini please!
I hope those sound better.
They definitely need some old school models in a production line: American Standard 80’s and 90’s. Uli will approve!
