More Information

Instead, an electrostatic driver was developed with carbon nanotube film. Due to its unique high-voltage design, the CRBN2 requires a specialized amplifier with an electrostatic output that uses Stax Pro Bias (580VDC).

Audeze recommends the following amplifiers:

  • Stax SRM-700S (or T)
  • Mjolnir Audio Carbon/KGSSHV
  • Linear Tube Audio Z10e
  • Headamp Blue Hawaii SE
  • Eksonic Aeras / T2
  • iFi iCAN PHANTOM
  • Malvalve Headamp 3 MK4
  • WOO Audio WES and 3ES

To deliver the most organic and realistic low-end of any electrostatic headphone design, the CRBN2 uses SLAM (Symmetric Linear Acoustic Modulator) technology. This reduces distortion to a minimum and enhances the low-frequency range while optimizing the distribution of pressure across the diaphragm.
