Audiothingies MicroMonsta Mk2 is on its way
Audiothingies put out a survey about a new MicroMonsta Mk2 back in February and now they’ve released a few details about their forthcoming updated mini polysynth.
MicroMonsta Mk2
The original MicroMonsta was an 8-voice polyphonic synthesizer in a little desktop box. It had 2 oscillators, a sub, filter, 3 envelopes, 3 LFOs and 1 lag operator per voice. But it was discontinued last year. Audiothingies owner Samuel Montassier posted a survey on Facebook asking users what they’d like to see in a version 2. It looks like we’ll see the results of that later this year.
What we do know is that the new version will be bi-timbral, it will have more voices and will be running 3 oscillators per voice, there will be FM on filter and it will have a “lush” onboard reverb. Samuel also says that it’s slightly smaller and should be the same price as the original.
If you’d like an example of what it might sound like then check out the video below of the original version.
