Beetronics Nectar – Tone Sweetener Fuzz/Overdrive
Two drives in once compact pedal
The Beetronics Nectar is the lates pedal from this boutique pedal builder and this time they have made a Tone Sweetener. It combines an Overdrive and Fuzz in one stompbox.

Beetronics Nectar Overdrive and Fuzz is being billed as a Tone Sweetener and they offer it as a balance between versatility and simplicity. Since, those are two of my favourite things to get from an effect pedal, this could be perfect for a guitarist like myself.
Simple effect designs, for me, make it far more enjoyable to start creating music with and teh less manuals involved the better.
Versatile Drive Tones
The pedal is described by Beetronics as spanning everything from vintage tweed-style crunch to a full-bodied overdrive, and even a modern high-gain fuzz. Which for a three-knob pedal is a lot of ground and if it lives up to this, then it will certainly be worth checking out.
Controls
Honey sets the amount of gain desired, then the Taste knob sets the EQ, finally Volume sets the output level of the effect.
Drive Mode/Fuzz Mode LEDs on the top of the pedal’s front panel indicate the selected mode, even when the pedal is bypassed. Players can then use the Mode toggle switch situated between the Drive and Fuzz controls to set the Nectar how they like.
The pedal is also a True Bypass design, and runs from a 9-volt power supply.
Verdict
Beetronics always make beautiful looking pedals and this new Nectar looks like it will fit into the lineup nicely. The pedals are all made in California and offer something a little different from a lot of the competition.
This looks like it could be a very versatile and simple to use drive/fuzz and so it could win over. a lot of guitarists.
