Behemoth’s Nergal gets a new signature KHDK Electronics LCFR overdrive/boost pedal
Behemoth's Nergal has a new signature stompbox
KHDK Electronics has collaborated with Behemoth’s Nergal on his new signature LCFR overdrive/boost pedal. This new pedal was also used during recording sessions for Behemoth’s forthcoming 12th album.
KHDK Electronics LCFR overdrive/boost
This new KHDK Electronics signature overdrive/boost pedal was designed for Nergal, who has been using it on the latest recordings with Behemoth. Named the LCFR, the pedal is finished in black and bronze, along with Behemoth’s inverted triple-cross logo and a pair of silk-screened wings on the front.
“Nergal used and abused the LCFR at Behemoth’s studio while working on the new record. This earned the LCFR the final seal of approval. The seal then died due to excessive exposure to awesomeness.
“The LCFR tone is one of the key components of the signature Behemoth tone. The sound in Nergal’s mind was an overdrive for his high-gain amp to tighten his tone and make his sound aggressive and radical.”
KHDK Electronics are keeping quiet about the exact circuit, but it must be pretty good if Nergal has been using it on the band’s latest recording. Unfortunately the teaser video really doesn’t give anything away, so we will just have to wait until its official release in a few days time.
333
The pedal’s control layout consists of Volume, Gain, Treble and Bass knobs, plus a true-bypass on/off footswitch. Each pedal will be hand-numbered by Nergal and also comes with a signed Certificate of Authenticity. The run will have 333 pedals in total.
The new LCFR is set to be released on 28 March at 6PM EST. I have a feeling it will be popular, and fans of Nergal will be sure to want one. You can follow the link below to read all the details on this new signature stompbox.
