Behringer TD-3 : new colours for the New Year
To celebrate the New Year Behringer has come up with two new colours for the TD-3 their TB-303 Bass Line clone. You can have it in black or a limited edition acid yellow complete with smiley face.
A rainbow of TD-3s
The TD-3 has only been out a few weeks and it’s already taken the number 3 spot in Thomann’s list of best-selling hardware synths for the whole of 2019. So they are already onto a winner. Originally we had the option of silver, blue or red and it’s the silver version, that closely matches the TB-303, that’s topping the charts. Which makes the top 3 placing even more remarkable because presumably, people are also buying the other colours.
According to one of their familiar and slightly looney videos these new colours are in response to shed loads of requests from the public. There’s a black one which looks more like a deep grey and the same colour Behringer use on a lot of their products. And there’s there yellow one with the smiley face where the Behringer logo usually sits. They say it’s limited edition although they didn’t specify exactly how limited.

Behringer says they are committed to giving people what they want and this certainly seems to be the case here. Which makes me wonder about a lot of things….. including whether Uli Behringer is actually Willy Wonker.

I’m assuming the price on both will be the same €149 as the other ones but there’s no listing for them yet or any way to preorder. But I’m sure it won’t be long.

When are the TB-3 yellows coming out? I pre ordered mine months ago and wondered if there was a release date.
