Behringer is at Superbooth and if last year is anything to go by they probably have some surprises up their sleeve. As a little diversion they’ve released a tantalisingly short demo video of the forthcoming UB-Xa.

Up until now all we’ve seen is renders and possibilities. This video has a real and somewhat functional UB-Xa just sitting there gagging to be played. Filmed at the MusicTribe/Midas offices in Manchester we get the tiniest glimpse of that familiar polysynth sound.

So, thanks Keith for those few words and fewer notes. Maybe it will be at Superbooth, who knows. But at least we know that it’s being built. Judging by how long it took the MS-101, Pro-One, Odyssey and RD-808 to get to market (only the MS-101 has) then it will be at least a year before we can expect to see one in the shops.
