A photo from Firechild on Facebook shows a prototype of the yet-to-be-released Behringer VC340 at home in his studio. The VC340 is an updated clone of the Roland Vocoder Plus VP-330 which we first revealed here.

Firechild adds that “Demos will follow within a couple of days”. And when they do we’ll add them to this article.

UPDATE: And here it is. It kind of perfectly demonstrates why I am mystified that anyone would release another vocoder. It’s the cheesiest, most unusable sound in the world unless you are trying to revive Sparky’s Magic Piano. But maybe it’s just me. It’s a fun piece of music though.

    Damn flipping heck yes.

    I’d have one.

Throw some personality at it, mix it with some good songwriting and youve got a great vintage sound for the modern era.

Maybe YOU’RE cheesy and unusable, Mr Stinker! 😉 hehe

UPDATE: And here it is. It kind of perfectly demonstrates why I am mystified that anyone would refer to an instrument as ‘a sound’. It’s the most preposterous comment in the world and perfectly demonstrates your lack of understanding of how a vocoder actually works and the many ways in which it can be used within music production.
