Mixland freeTILT! is the free version of TILT!, the tilt EQ plug-in the developer released a few weeks ago. Like TILT!, freeTILT! is a tilting equalizer with adjustable tube saturation at the output stage. The plug-in lets you adjust the high and low frequencies at the same time using just one knob: if the highs are attenuated, the lows are boosted, and vice versa. If you need a bit more tweakability like individually adjustable bands and center frequencies, check out the full version for USD 29.99.

freeTILT! is available for macOS 10.7 or higher (including M1) and Windows 7 or higher in AU, VST and AAX formats.

Clark Audio Textures used to be $39, but is now available for free. The plug-in is a sound design tool that adds various textures to your audio tracks, like nature sounds, tape or vinyl noise, mechanical sounds and various soundscapes. All in all, 75 textures are included, which you can use to add effects to your samples or come up with something completely new. The plug-in also offers a texture EQ for additional tone shaping, and wow/flutter and reverb effects.

Textures is available for macOS and Windows in VST3 and AU formats.

Fugue State Audio Spectral Lemuring

Fugue State Audio says that Spectral Lemuring is inspired by Spectral Monkeyage by Shiny FX, a long discontinued freeware plug-in. It’s a spectral processing effect that lets you process the high-magnitude and low-magnitude parts of the FFT signal separately. If that sounded too technical, Fugue State Audio says that it can be thought of as a lo-fi pitch shifter with some extra functionality. It’s not the same as Spectral Monkeyage, but it does some of the same things.

Spectral Lemuring is a VST3 plug-in for Windows.
